Join for a weekend with epic trails in Engelberg, get inspired by surrounding nature and experience the beauty of the mountains. On this running event we take groups up to 10 people per guide.
We run during the days and spend the evenings and nights at comfortably Hotel in the center of Engelberg.
Flight to Zürich Airport. Welcome drink and guide meeting with pre-info about the upcoming days. Overnight stay at Hotel.
High trail Fürenalp. We start directly outside the hotel entrance, a good warmup path takes us up to the farm “Ober Zieblen” at 1630m altitude. Up here we take a break and stretch out our bodys. The run continues east on the undulating paths with stunning panoramic views over Titlis North face. We pass another farm, “Dagenstal” before we reaching Fürenalp at 1820m altitude. At Fürenalp mountain restaurant we enjoy our well deserved lunch before continuing down towards Surenental, a lonely valley surrounded by beautiful mountains. On the way back down to Engelberg we pass “Stäfeli” and “Alpenrösti”, two farmhouses that offer local produced cheese. Excellent opportunity to purchase some local delicacies. After proper stretching and a shower we rest us up with “after-run” at Hotel lounge bar before dinner.
Running up to Rugghubelhütte 2290m. Up here, we eat classic three-course dinner and absorb Swiss mountain hut culture. The view from here over the village of Engelberg is magnificent and the sunset is breathtaking. After dinner, we run with the help of our headlamps back down to Engelberg.
Trailrunning under Titlis North face in the morning. We eat lunch at Restaurant Wasserfall and share the impressions from the weekend together. Checking out of the hotel and train back to Zürich airport.
